Welcome to the Learn & Play @CML blog! Chances are if you’ve found your way here you’re either:
- a member of CML’s staff who is participating in the Learn & Play @CML;
- interested in learning about and playing around (yes, playing is allowed in libraries!) with some new Web 2.0 tools that will help you expand your information literacy toolbox;
- or - - are just interested in earning some cool prizes and more!
Either way… I’m glad you’re here!!
Learn & Play @CML is an online learning program that encourages staff to learn more about emerging technologies on the web that are changing the way people, society and libraries access information and communicate with each other.
Over the course of the next eight and a half weeks, I’ll use this website to highlight “23 Things” and their accompanying Discovery Exercises to help guide you as you become familiar with blogging, RSS news feeds, tagging, wikis, podcasting, online applications, and video and image hosting sites, to name a few.
So fasten your seat belts, grab your mouse, and get ready for a discovery adventure… and, remember, it’s okay to play in the library and have fun. Let’s do it together!
Discovery Exercise:
- To familiarize yourself with this project, and to get credit for your first “thing,” be sure to read the About page.
- The FAQs should answer most of your questions about this program. If not, then please add your question to the FAQ page as a comment and we’ll try to get you some help. Remember to ask your colleagues if you get stuck on an exercise. We’re all learning and playing together and the more we help each other out, the better our experience will be!
Let’s go!
WOW!
Ready to learn something new
Ready for a new adventure in learning
mas vale tarde que nunca!!! Vamos!
I’m coming to this kind of late in the game. But, we’ll see how much I can do before year’s end!
