Remember all the fun we had two weeks ago with Flickr and images? Well, since this is play week, let’s have even more fun with images! This time, we’re going to learn about image generators. Image generators allow you to easily manipulate images and graphics into fun stuff like the ones you see here.
For this discovery exercise, just have fun! Find a few fun image or text generators to play around with and write a post in your blog about one of your favorites and display the result. Often adding the image you mocked up to your blog is as simple as copying and pasting code that the page provides. If not, you may just need to right click on the image and then save it to your hard drive before using Blogger’s (or WordPress’s) image button to add it to your post.
If you’re having difficulty getting your image added to a post in your blog, ask a co-worker for help. In looking at several of the staff blogs, it’s easy to see that we have lots of people in the system who have figured out how easy it is to add images to their blogs.
Discovery Resources:
ALA Mini READ Poster Generator
The Generator Blog
Letter James
FD Toys
Also try searching for online generators, text generators or other image generators!
Discovery Exercise:
1. Play around with some image generators and find one that you like.
2. Post the result of your discovery process in your blog.
Note: Be sure to include a link to the image generator itself, so other participants can discover it too.
So take some time and have fun with this exercise. And remember to be tasteful with those images.

Oh My Gosh! I just realised I have not updated this since you last visited… You would not believe my anguish at my misdoings. Please don’t abandon me!.
I am totally and utterly flat out with making meals, learning to speak Japanese, just generally being a nuisance to society in general, my day starts from sun-up to well after sun-down. I am so exhausted. but who cares.
I probably I will try to remember my blog password more often in future. No, really! Unless of course the pool with the cocktail bar is heated!.
Nice to know somebody besides me is messing around on here…LOL. Yes, you are indeed in the throws of motherhood etc etc. Awww yes, I remember it well. Hope you and the family play with this together. -pixelwiki-

Image Generators are fun!! I made a flying flag with Hilliard Library building picture and wanted to add the animated pic in my post but it only either added a still pic of that flag or it just added the empty looking box with X symbol on upper left corner. The good thing is that if you click on that box it shows you the animated flying flag in a new window but I wanted it to show on my blog directly. Please check my blog and If any body can tell the way to show the animated flying flag directly on my blog than please please let me know and I would keep playing with it.
