Our Friends are AMAZING!

This is a message to our Friends of the Library…

Dear Friends,

A HUGE, BIG BALL OF THANKS to you for providing the incentives for staff for Learn & Play @CML! A few people wanted to thank you in person!

We weren’t able to get everyone in this video, as the response from staff was overwhelming, but did you see how excited Erica was? Friends, by providing these incentives, you helped encourage 495 staff to begin the journey to learn about Web 2.0 technologies and get some new experience on the Internet! 254 staff actually completed the journey.

What would we do without our Friends??? We don’t even want to know!

As non-winner of the prizes, I bought a 6-year old used Dell computer last week, have started looking at digital cameras evaluation sites, and will comtemplate retiring my Toshiba Walkman knock-off sometime this decade.

I started the project hoping to win a prize but it didn’t take me long to find out that this was a really great experience on its own merits. Which is a good thing because I didn’t win! Thanks Friends, for providing the incentive to get involved.
